March 3 - It's Snowing in Chattanooga (again)

When we moved to Chattanooga, I just knew we were going to get more snow than I did growing up in SC, being closer to the mountains and such. I was wrong. Up until this year, I believe I remember getting snow one time. This year however, we have gotten several "decent" snow falls. And by decent, I mean only a inch or two. Today when I woke up, I noticed it was snowing, mixed with some rain. By the time I left for work, the biggest snow flakes I'VE ever seen were coming down. They were as big as cotton balls! I so wish Riley could see it and enjoy it, but I have a feeling getting wet would just make him mad!

Yesterday was his first full day with his new nanny without me there. They had a great day and he was in a good mood pretty much the whole day up until time for Joel and I to get home from work. That's ok with me. I would rather him be happy the whole day, even if we aren't there to enjoy it. Lexi sent me a text yesterday and told me they went through the car wash. As soon as Riley heard the water coming down he said, "I knew momma let daddy go to Heidi's pool party!" Riley has been "stuck" on Heidi's pool party for a long, long time now. He says it all the time. Heidi's pool party is a real pool party that we go to every year, but it has also become a code word for taking a bath, and apparently, Riley's "happy place". I can't wait until July when we can go to the "real" Heidi's pool party.

We have had a good night with Riley and hopefully it will continue through til morning. It's Joel's turn to get up with Riley tonight and he doesn't function very well without sleep!
