Day 227 - Out Patient Surgery for port and G tube

I just wanted to give a quick update, but there isn't much to say. We had to be here at the hospital at 10:30am for surgery and we are still waiting! There was an emergency surgery this morning that backed everything up and we still have at least a 2 hour wait. Since it is going to be awhile, they came in and let Riley drink some apple juice, which is a bad sign that it will be at least that long before his surgery. He is laying here playing happily for now. We asked to go ahead back instead of waiting 2 hours in the waiting room, so we are in one of the small rooms they bring you to before surgery. He kept asking for a bed, but now that he is in one, he is chatting away. I'm happy that he was playing so much that he didn't notice Uncle Brian and I scarf down a hot dog quickly. I will update again when there is more to report.
