Day 224

First of all, I wanted to let everyone know, I am in the process of beginning to transition from carepages (which has been wonderful), to a blog. I hope you will all continue to follow Riley and his progress, and for at least a little while, I will post the same information in both places. The address to the new blog is teamgreene09.blogspot.com. I believe this will give us a little more freedom in posting photos, videos, etc. If you have any trouble with the new site, please leave me a comment here on carepages, as I will still be checking them.

Joel left for Chattanooga this morning for what I hope will be the last time without us! I have to say, I am getting a little concerned about Riley and I being able to leave a week from tomorrow. Riley has all but stopped eating completely. He says he is not hungry, even when we try and give him his favorites. He has vomited several times this week, the last being just a little while ago after drinking pediasure. Which defeats the purpose of giving it to him as a supplement when he can't or doesn't eat. He is also having anywhere from 4-7 bowel movements a day. We checked his weight at the doctor's office Friday and he is maintaining it for now. The only change in medication over the last week was the switch from IV to liquid for one medication. I don't know whether to hope this is what is causing the vomiting or not at this point. Riley is still pretty happy for the most part, although he has his moments. He also wants to rest a lot these days as well. I am actually looking forward to Riley's appointment at clinic tomorrow to see if we can get some answers. We haven't had any lab work done since Thursday, so I am also anxious to make sure all of his levels are where they should be. We also have a pre-op appointment tomorrow in preparation for the removal of Riley's central line and placement of his port, the replacement of his G tube with a lower profile one and his spinal tap, all scheduled for Wednesday.

Again, let me know if you have any problems with the new website and have a great remainder of the weekend.
