Today has been another busy day of unpacking and it is still not done. I finally gave up late this afternoon because I knew I needed to get Riley's meds ready for the next few days. Hopefully tomorrow will be the end of all the unpacking - except for Riley's play room. It is so full of toys and stuffed animals, I don't know where to start!
Another thing I think I will be done with tomorrow - leftovers. I am a huge fan of Thanksgiving leftovers. I haven't had anything but Thanksgiving food since Thursday at lunch. I'm still not really tired of it, I just think I will be as big as a house if I don't stop with the leftovers. My mother brought everything with her from Charleston, SC and prepared a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. I really appreciate this because if it weren't for her, we definitely wouldn't have had a Thanksgiving dinner this year. We will miss "Grammy" so much and we are so glad she was able to join us for Thanksgiving.
Riley is still asking to hop in the van everyday, usually as soon as he wakes up. He spent the day watching football with Joel and Uncle Brian while I unpacked. He also went for a walk, swung on his swing set and then, finally went for a ride in the van. He is exhausted tonight, so hopefully he will sleep well. I usually try to wait until after his 9pm meds before putting him to bed but Joel is turning the bed down now. I don't think I will be far behind him.

ReplyDeleteWonderful to hear you had a great Thanksgiving. We continue to remember you in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that after all of the hospital food you have eaten it was even more "delish" to have a home cooked meal from your mom - you deserve the leftovers - fill up and enjoy! It sounds like Riley is adjusting and enjoying being back at home. We are so happy for you - we'll keep praying daily and love the continued posts!
