Long Day but surgery went well

Riley is sleeping very soundly beside me on the couch right now. We finally left the hospital around 8:30pm tonight. He was a little upset when we finally got to go back to recovery. When we walked in, the nurse told us he had been saying he wanted to hop in the van and "when can I have clothes?" The clothes thing was bothering him before he went in to surgery. I changed him in to a hospital gown and ended up having to put his t-shirt back on over the gown because he kept saying he wanted different kind of clothes on.

He did well during surgery and hopefully won't be too sore tomorrow. He does need to stay flat for awhile because the doctor said they took quite a bit of spinal fluid to run tests and he could get a headache from that. I've had 3 and gotten the headaches 2 out of 3 times and it is pretty unbearable. Hopefully it will be a restful night for everyone. We are glad to have Joel back with us safely. Since the surgery didn't start until after 4:30pm, Joel even made it back in time to see Riley before surgery. Thanks for all of the prayers today and everyday!
