Day 231 - Our last night at the apartment??

Tomorrow could be the big day! Riley has his regular clinic appointment tomorrow at 9:15am, then he will have another echo cardiogram to see if the mass in his heart is the same, gone or bigger. If it is the same or gone, we should be good to go home to Chattanooga!

Just to be prepared, I have been packing as much as I could all day. We sent Brandy & Autumn on their way this morning with a load in Joel's car (thank you, thank you), and we are ready to load my van and Brian's car if we get the go ahead. It is hard not to be excited, but I am trying to keep in mind that there is a chance we may not get to leave. I don't want to even think of that possibility, so I won't, at least not tonight.

We have had a busy weekend with lots of visitors. Shannon came to see us Friday night and was able to go with Riley and I to pick Autumn & Brandy up at the airport Saturday morning. As soon as Autumn and Brandy got in the car, Riley started jabbering away. He was very excited! The girls and Riley stayed in Saturday night while Joel took Uncle Brian to the hockey game for his birthday. Riley was so funny Saturday night. He had a good time flirting with Brandy. He would say, "Come here Brandy. I know what you're thinking." When Brandy put her check up to him, he gave her smooches - very different than the kind he gives me! It was pretty cute, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it on video. Today, we had a visit from my cousin, Letitia and her family. We hadn't seen each other in years, but fortunately, we've been able to reconnect during our time here in Durham. I got to meet her two boys and hopefully, we will all be able to get together when Riley is better and it is safe to be around other kids. This evening, Riley's best buddy, Lisa (the volunteer from Duke), came by to see us at the apartment. She brought Riley some goodies back from her recent trip to Australia. We haven't seen her in awhile and enjoyed our visit.

That's about it for our weekend. I will update tomorrow when we find out what our plans are. Hope everyone has a great and short holiday week and safe travels to everyone on the road (or in the sky) over the holidays.
